Why St. Croix?

Our journey to St. Croix began with a family story…

Jason's stepmother graduated from Good Hope School in Frederiksted, St. Croix. Shortly after graduation, she moved away and had not been back since. In June of 2026, our family decided to travel together so she could revisit the place where so many of her high school memories were made.

Although the original Good Hope School closed in 2014 and the campus has endured years of hurricane damage, the buildings still stand. During our visit, we learned that Way of the Cross Church had purchased the 30-acre property with a God-sized vision known as the Bethesda Project.

Their dream is to restore the campus into a place of hope for the community. This vision includes a church, a crisis intervention center, a counseling center, transitional housing, a community pool, a playground, and other resources designed to serve the people of St. Croix and share the love of Christ.

As soon as we stepped onto the campus and heard the vision, we looked at each other and said, "Mission trip!"

In that moment, God began stirring our hearts with a desire to partner with this ministry. We believe He is opening the door for us to serve alongside Way of the Cross Church as they build not only facilities, but opportunities to share the Gospel, strengthen the community, and point people to Jesus Christ; the true Cornerstone.
